From the vineyards surrounding Palácio de Mateus in Vila Real, they lie on the edge of the Douro demarcated region, on schist soils, at 450 m altitude and with a west-facing exposure.
Thanks to this altitude, it is possible to achieve perfect and very consistent ripening, producing grapes with excellent freshness and a rich, fruity character.
